Annual NRIC Program Review
NRIC’s annual program review is a yearly meeting to provide an update on NRIC program progress. Many NRIC program stakeholders participate including U.S. Department of Energy Headquarters (DOE-HQ), DOE Idaho Operations Office (DOE-ID), industry partners, and others. Attendees actively participate in the review which highlights the importance of public-private partnerships in advancing nuclear technology. During the review, project teams present their work, findings, and achievements. These presentations include project milestones, technological advancements, and future plans. This review also provides the opportunity to identify areas where additional support or resources could be leveraged.
2025 NRIC Program Review - Idaho Falls, ID April 1 - 3
NRIC has made significant progress within the program over the past year, and we are excited to talk about what is to come in 2025. Please save the date for the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Nuclear Energy (DOE-NE)-5 National Reactor Innovation Center (NRIC) Program Review meeting that will be held from April 01 – April 03, 2025, at the Idaho National Laboratory (INL) within the Energy Innovation Laboratory (EIL) Building in Idaho Falls, ID. In addition, the DOE-NE-5 Regulatory Framework Modernization (RFM) program meeting will be held the same week, following the NRIC Program Review, at the same location for interested parties.
Meetings will have a virtual option, but in-person attendance is encouraged. Optional facility tours will be included to include tours of DOME and MSTEC where significant progress has been made.
The goals of the NRIC Program Review are to facilitate program integration, provide context and high-level objectives, review the accomplishments over the past year, engage with stakeholders, solicit feedback, and to discuss FY 2025 research and development work scope and priorities.
A survey will be sent early in the New Year asking stakeholders to indicate whether you plan on attending, if you’re attending in person or digitally, and what dates you plan to attend. An agenda for both meetings and virtual meeting link will be provided as they become available.
