Public Acceptance Working Group

The goal of the Public Acceptance Working Group is to build public awareness and acceptance of maritime nuclear applications by engaging stakeholders, addressing environmental concerns, and promoting informed dialogue about the potential benefits and risks.

R&D Working Group

The goal of the R&D Working Group is to identify, evaluate and support the testing of advanced nuclear technologies suitable for maritime applications. The group collaborates with industry, academia, and research institutions to understand the physics and design considerations of using advanced reactors in maritime applications and aims to address strategic R&D questions facing the maritime nuclear industry.

Finance Working Group

The goal of the Finance Working Group is to address financial, economic and insurance considerations of nuclear maritime applications by identifying funding risks, funding sources, and insurance frameworks that support commercialization of maritime nuclear applications.

Regulatory Working Group

The goal of the Regulatory Working Group is to address legal, regulatory and licensing issues facing the deployment and operation of advanced nuclear technologies in maritime environments. Given the cross section of regulatory bodies involved, this is a critical consideration for the industry.
